Troop 17 Eagle Scout Cross Country Bike Ride for Affordable Housing

Poehailos Bike FundraiserMy name is Daniel Poehailos, and I earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2011.  This summer, I will be biking across the country from Providence, RI to Seattle, WA with the affordable housing organization “Bike & Build.”  I will be helping on the build days of local affordable housing organizations across the US, giving presentations to communities as we sleep on their floors, and raising money and awareness for affordable housing, a cause that impacts millions of Americans.

Before I set off on my journey June 1st, each rider (there are 30 of us on our route) is tasked to raise $4,500 dollars individually .  So far I have raised $3,500, and I have been overwhelmed from all the generosity shown from friends and family!  However, I still need lots of help to make that last push, and would be incredibly moved if you all could donate.  Large or small, your donation will make an impact across the country, and you can follow your donation through my blog at http://depoebikeandbuild.tumblr.com/. More information about the organization and the cause of affordable housing can be found at http://bikeandbuild.org/cms/. Thank you so much Troop 17 for your support, and don’t hesitate to email me at dmp8re@virginia.edu if you have any questions!
